Not Quite A Geordie

Are you a Geordie Shore fan? If so you must get your hands on Holly Hagan's new biography 'Not quite a Geordie'. Only released on the 2nd October, I've heard nothing but positive comments about the book so far. I always remember a while ago holly tweeted this:
"There's 6 series of Geordie Shore and a summer special, that's 54 episodes in total. Each episode is approximately 45 minutes long, that is a total of 2430 minutes and that's 40.5 hours total. If we say there is usually between 7-9 cast members a series and we split the time equally, that would mean approximately 5.6 hours each. Over two and a half years you have seen 5.6 hours of me in total.. And yet you think you know me?"

I think it is safe to say that what she said is very true. You see fans on Twitter and Instagram telling her how much they love her and  that they know her so well. Me being a huge fan of the show was shocked when I read her biography - in one day - just to find out exactly what she had gone through to get to the Gorgeous young woman she is now. After years of bullying, battles with her weight and even self harm, this book does actually show the real Holly and to be honest in my eyes she is an even bigger role model to younger girls now then she ever dreamed of being. Her kind words of advice to anybody going through what she went through were lovely.

I have always been a fan of Holly and from series one, I thought she showed her true emotions. I read this biography cover to cover in one day and it honestly has just made me a bigger fan. Reading about her childhood with her ever so loving mum to her days sat in doing crosswords with her nana just reminded me that she really is just a regular girl who's dreams came true. A quarter of the way through the book is when Holly started to reveal all about her days when she was sadly bullied. I think she is doing a fantastic job of encouraging young teens going through the same thing to speak out about bullying.

My favourite part of the book was when she admitted her feelings for James and told us the truth about their relationship in Mexico. I think that this just goes to show how much does actually go on in the Geordie Shore house that is not captured on camera and that there is a lot more happening aside from a one hour weekly show. I also feel like I have a much better understanding for the show now and how it actually works.

All in all I will say that this is the first ever book that I have read in less then 24 hours on the release day and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Definitely a 5* for me! I advise any fans of the show or of Holly to buy this book, I can promise it'll all be worth it. The book is available to buy in WHSmiths and Waterstones. Also available on iPhone, iPad and Amazon Kindle.

Best Leeds

Right, so when I created this blog I also created a twitter so I can tweet all my links and follow lots of new accounts. I am very pleased I did because if I didn't I wouldn't have noticed this amazing brand Best Leeds. I stumbled across the twitter page for Best and I thought I'd take a look. I must admit I am very pleased that I did have a look because I fell in love with their two pieces!

Best Leeds have taken it upon themselves to rework Ralph Lauren tops into these super cute two pieces which I absolutely love! I definitely need to get my hands on one of these, they're perfect for summer. Stylish yet they still have that edgy feel about them which is what I am all about. Check out these two pieces below, these select few are my favourites.

How gorgeous are these? They are very different to the big craze of two pieces that is going around at the moment. They're unique, bespoke and you can be sure that no one else will have one! Made with 100% cotton these little beauty's can be bought at £50, which if you ask me, is a complete bargain!

As well as that fantastic find, whilst browsing the Best website I found some more cute bits. I love the American theme that the company has going on. From jumpers with names of American states to American baseball jerseys. It's all just so casual, it's got the urban/edgy feel about it whilst incorporating the latest trends and a chilled comfy look. That sounds ideal to me?
I have picked out some of my favourites which I will look into buying one day. What are your favourites pieces?

These three are a couple of pieces from Best Leeds that I have selected. I love these three, all very different yet all very stylish. The black mesh top on the far left is perfect for a casual day out or even for a beach cover up. A light top with the Best logo printed on the front, can't get much simpler than that! In the middle I picked a American baseball style top, very casual and very in fashion. I've been wanting one of these for some time now, and I think I may have to sway with Best Leeds and buy myself one. Finally on the Right is a super cute printed jumper, I don't know if you have noticed but this print is very in fashion at the moment. With almost a religious/decorative feel this jumper looks very cosy and I know I wouldn't say no to this jumper. Paired with jeans or leggings this jumper would go down a treat!

Be sure to let me know what you think of these items I have picked and what you think of the clothing brand in general. I love to hear your feedback and opinions. Also don't forget to check out their website which can be found here

Educate Elevate

"EDUCATE THE MIND ELEVATE THE GRIND"

To put it simply, the more you educate yourself about the world and your surroundings, the higher chance you have of achieving your dreams. -Educate Elevate

I love that quote above! So I wanted to take the time to write about Educate Elevate, a seriously cool urban clothing brand who are bringing back the 90's. You have probably heard about them or already own some of their clothes, but I wanted to express my love for them as well as letting people know they exist, because believe me, you will want to get your hands on some of their garms!

Me personally, I grew up in the 90's, where iPhone's were non existent and everyone appreciated the small things. The Spice Girls and Britney Spears were the coolest people in the world and everyone was rocking the funkiest clothes. Do you ever look back at pictures of yourself as a kid and think 'oh my god I would so wear that now!' I know I do! This is simply because you were wearing clothes that are coming back around now. The best era, happy memories, feel good music and most of all, amazing fashion!

Leigh-Anne from Little Mix is one of many stars seen sporting the Educate Elevate brand and doesn't she look fab?!

So, anyway back to Educate Elevate. They have a selection of clothes which I personally think are inspired from the 90's and I must admit, I love it all! This can be anything from bomber jackets to shirts to backpacks. They also do hats, sweatshirts, t-shirts, you name it, all with their signature logo printed. I love the logo, Its simple, effective and to the point. And it sure is a logo that you wont see anywhere else. I love the fact that the clothes on their website will be different from one month to the next, and that in itself is quite satisfying if I do say so myself.

This is the logo which I think is pretty cool, yet original. No one has a logo like this. As I mentioned earlier if you see this logo you will know where it has come from as it stands out from the crowd. This logo is situated on many items from Educate Elevate such as beanies, backpacks and unique tracksuits. I have also noticed that a range of celebrities are often spotted in their gear, so keep your eyes peeled. It could be anyone, anywhere. If you are interested in having a browse make sure you get yourself to the website and let me know what you think of this clothing brand. The website can be found here

Kardashian-West

Okay I must admit I am a sucker for the Kardashians! I watch their programme and I just can't get enough. I have to admit though, my ultimate favourite is Kylie (technically a Jenner). Anyway I thought I would write a post about the Kim and Kanye wedding. It looked like an amazing wedding and I can't get enough of the pictures, I get excited every time new pictures are released! The gorgeous ceremony took place at Fort Di Belvedere in Florence, Italy and god, what I would've done to have been there to witness it. The pictures from the wedding have been spoke about and shared thousands of times breaking records for the most liked picture on instagram. The $11m ceremony saw celebrity guests such as John Legend (who supposedly performed), Jaden Smith, Lana Del Ray and not forgetting the rest of the Kardashian/Jenner clan. The detail of the wedding was spot on, not a thing was missed from enormous flower walls to a 7 meter high cake! It truly was the wedding of the year and I'm sure it will be spoke about for some time yet!

The wall of flowers can be seen behind Kim and Kanye as they share their first kiss as a newly married couple. The side view of that famous dress is absolutely gorgeous isn't it?!

My favourite picture from the wedding doesn't even involve Kim however I love this picture from before the ceremony showing Kanye West surrounded by the bridesmaids - Kylie Jenner, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner - The mother of the bride, Kris Jenner and of course Kim and Kanye's adorable baby girl North who supposedly acted as the flower-girl.

This picture is just gorgeous! The first official family portrait of the newly-weds and their beautiful daughter North. A perfect 'act natural' shot with the stunning scenery in the background, how lovely!

Top Above: Mr & Mrs West pucker up for a kiss in their wedding photo booth that seemed to be very popular at the wedding reception. Just how loved up do they look?! I love the contrast between Kim's hair and the pearls on her dress. Gorgeous!
Below: The first sneak peak of Kim's dress! Exciting! The beautiful Givenchy Haute Couture wedding dress is breathtaking. The back of this lace dress is riddiculously long but how amazing is it? I wouldn't say no to this masterpiece. Kim's long black locks hanging down the back of the cut out dress looks perfect.

Turns out this defiantly was the wedding of the year and it will keep me excited for a while to come yet! I can't get enough and will be waiting for more pictures to come. Of course not forgetting the sneak peaks that will be shown on the upcoming season of Keeping up with the Kardashians! I am aware that this 'short blog post' has turned into more of a magazine article but I did mention my love for the Kardashians at the beginning and I guess I just got carried away!

Be sure to let me know your opinions on the Kardashians/Jenners and how you feel about this lavish wedding! :)

Bandannas

Bandanna's are my new favourite thing. I somehow ordered one on eBay in the early hours of the morning when I was extremely tired! Costing me £1 (including delivery!) this is definitely my best purchase ever from eBay. After ordering and receiving my first red bandanna I was addicted and ordered more and more. Now with a total of 6, I basically wear them everyday according to my outfit. I played it safe and bought black and grey just so I had neutral colours that I could wear them as much as possible. You can see from my pictures that I have worn them out at night, and I have received several compliments.

Now that I have some I cant help but notice the amount of people I have seen wearing them. From Sam Faiers to Kylie Jenners BFF Pia Mia Perez.  If you are interested in buying a bandanna simply head to eBay and type in bandanna. They are available in many different colours, so take your pick.
